Then you browse to a page which alters your resolution to an unusable setting, such as 1280 x 1024 (to you, the partially sighted user). Imagine that you are a partially sighted user running on a very large monitor but with a high contrast colour scheme and a resolution of 640 x 480 or 800 x 600 (and this isn't some wild fancy - I've seen it numerous times).
Think about why this would be such a bad idea (if you could do it, which you can't, so this is purely theoretical).
You can determine the size in Javascript in modern browsers that support the screen.width and screen.height properties.īut you cannot change the screen resolution.
